There is no one definition of robot which satisfies everyone and most people have their own. For example Joseph Engelberger, a pioneer in industrial robotics, once remarked: “I can’t define a robot, but I know one when I see one.”
According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica a robot is “any automatically operated machine that replaces human effort, though it may not resemble human beings in appearance or perform functions in a humanlike manner.” The Merriam-Webster dictionary describes a robot as a “machine that looks like a human being and performs various complex acts (as walking or talking) of a human being,” or a “device that automatically performs complicated often repetitive tasks,” or a “mechanism guided by automatic controls.”

A lot of people find it disturbing that humans are becoming more like robots while, at the same time, robots are also becoming more like humans. Many are philosophizing about what humans will become after we modify ourselves through genetic engineering or by implanting AI components into all parts of the body to improve our physical and mental abilities. There are concerns that such modifications will pervert us in some way and should perhaps be avoided. This is causing a lot of anxiety and some are warning that humans will stop being actually human.
I, for one, fail to see what the fuss is all about. There is a simple answer as to why the prospect of “artificial” human modification should not be a significant cause for concern.
Humans already are robots. One of my favorite quotes by Aubrey de Grey is “the human body is a very complex machine.” Yes, we are complex, self replicating and self-repairing, but we are machines never-the-less. Look at yourself, look at your hands – they are a small part of an extremely complex apparatus that is able to accomplish all kinds of sophisticated actions. Vertebrate life forms are the most complex apparatus ever developed and no definition of a robot says that it has to be man made. So what if the current life forms were created by the trial-and-error process called evolution for over 4.7 billion years?!…
It is a given that a person does look like a human and can replace other humans’ efforts and is able to perform various complex and often repetitive acts (such as walking and talking) and finally is guided by automatic controls (in our nervous system).
The human being is definitely not a perfect contraption for any mechanism can always be improved. However, the natural process of evolution that has updated humans until the start of the industrial revolution is no longer an option. Civilization needs to find a new way to improve their design. And just as humanity is transcending evolution the technology to modify the human machine will become available.

Why would anyone worry about the option of modifying a robot to be a better robot?
Humans are always updating the programming of our biological CPU (through education) from the moment we are born. You are updating your programming even now – by reading this article. Further “artificial” mental and physical modifications that will be an option after the singularity will just be another hardware adjustment, not very much different from the one above. Some people want to keep their cars as if they just came off the assembly line. Others may let them wear out and go on to the scrap yard. But in my opinion, most will want to install parts that allow for better durability, performance, speed and comfort.
…I can now say that I know a robot when I see one. And that includes when I am looking at the mirror.
The humans are not a diferent type of species than the other living bings. as the davin expalined there is one thing common for all bings .. that is the fight for suvival and as usuall the law of the suvival of the fittest applies to any environment where the living beings are there..But why.. the reason is that there are no places where the resources are not limited. every place the resources are limited and hence the only the fittest may use and suvive and the weak shall die.
This was a cristal clear thing in huamn history. there are many stories in the ancient times. we can head 1000s of stories of invasion of kingdoms by other nations. for food ,for resources,for land for many things and when the world developed a little. the distance jurnies were posible. then the process became faster but the laws were not changed.
the Portuguese. then Dutch and English nations invaded the countries all round the world and captured the resources of the countries.and according to the laws the fittest here the europians survived.
after centuries the laws were still not changes and the fighting was still going on but many different ways. the world war I and World War II was fought killing millians of people. and again the fittest suvived.
now again the game is still ongoing now for the Oil the limited resource for the future. Now the game takes many modes ,some countries its fought using the Human rights. some countries mass distruction vepons, other countries democracy and Financial ways.
Current Invasion is in the means of privatitation of the companies. Europian and US coorperations buying the local companies for cheap giving some money to politicians and stupid laws are results of the under going actions of invation. by little bu litte its happening. Its not possible to stop this as it is natural and it must happens the fittest shall suvive and weak must die for the life to continue its jurney with the evalution for the future.
Today the fittest have money and time and they are ruled by well educated people who foresee the world many years ahead while the weak are ruled by politicians who know noting and had come to power by using frud and no nothing. the strongsts have time to think but weak people dont have time to think even they are continuously at war for living day today lives. so the results can not be changed and as you and me undestands the results is cristal clear the strongest shall win and its happening..
Only think we can do if possible if we want to suveive is to join the fittest..leave the weakest...that will allow us to be suvived for some time and may fight back if we can become more stronger..

The news today are manipulated and are used for controlling the people. We shall not believe the news on TV and radio any more. They are lies to control us. They shout for the money and nothing else. How ever the modern world is an completely different place to what our former generations had experienced. there was a time were money was not a major concern and people had the things they needed and either they used to satisfy from what tey had or they interchanged the things they had to get the things they want.
there was enough Land, enough food , .. for everyone. so no need money or business or companies ..corporations...
What happened then.., the companies and big corporations were formed in the Europe which were profit oriented. they wanted to make profits more and more profits every year...
they started to absorb the resources form the people and build their empires and the slavery had begun. the corporations became the super powers and the control's of the world. they controls the politics they controls the ..every thing...
The corporations are quite strategic and act in well planned way. they started to conquer the world .. one by one all the countries ... they defeated the local governments or rulers and got the ruling powers for people who are controlled by them. they destroyed the local industries or agriculture....
then where to by foods or other required things ...... from the corporations... so Money is required. but How to make Money ...... you have to now do a job ...every day ... until you die......The Modern slavery begun.
the most saddest thing is that people think they are free and they think governments are democratic they represent peoples views or we appoint the governments .. But really are they???....

Corporations are the super powers and they control the world , they use governments and and mainly the banks. World Bank controlled by US corporations and the US federal banks and other big banks are the rulers.

they will give a big loan to the country with many rules. they will make sure its difficult for the country to pay the installment and interest. then the money need to be used for new projects and who are the contractors for the projects ...... the sub companies of the same corporations. the the money will directly go back to the source. the projects will not be much successful.. Why ..?? because the first step .. the government is corrupted. So they can not fight back and they will do the projects as they need and ultimate failure.. so poor people of the country gets nothing... their light bill oil price will go up every day....
Now the loan installment need to be paid back.. the government has not enough money .. then
Reduce funding for health and education or money to be given to poor .. and increase taxes... the peoples need to pay the loan interests and benefited are only corporations and the government politicians.
How sad... So there's no way poor people can come up. the income gap between the poor and rich expands every day. the 41% of world wealth belongs to 1% of people.
the income gap between rich and poor in 1969 is 30:1 and in 1990 its 74:1, but the world bank projects to eliminate poverty is said to be successful 40% .. how can that be ..??????
So The Modern World is nothing but a business place where only the profits are important .., day by day the corporations are improving profits and expands the empire. the people without knowing this consider them selves as parts of the corporations and support this move. today can you trust media..... no Why it is controlled by corporations... what you see or here is not true..
